Chapter I: The Cliches
I don't particularly enjoy blogging. Well, that's not really true. I've never really blogged before so that statement is unjustified. But I guess the real truth is that I don't enjoy anything that is cliched. See, cliches and I have an ancient enmity that roots to the beginning of the pop culture. You know how there is this whole sociological bullshit about how the society defines the individual? Well when I was 10ish, I felt I was being drawn into the whole boy's-gotta-be-cool-if-he's-got-chicks paradigm, and for some reason, I began to loathe myself for that. So I decided to "rise up" against this whole shitty notion of "following the crowd" and decided to become a "rebel". It wasn't until a few years later that I realized how cliched it was to be a rebel. So I ended up hating myself even more. I mean just writing those words up there is making me nauseous and my tongue all fuzzy with disgust.
The irony of it all is that now, even hating cliches has become a cliche. And that spells disaster for me. So what should one do? I mean, if you follow the crowd, you're a jackass. But if you don't follow the crowd, you're the jackass of the outcasts. And if you don't follow the crowd and create an institution that has inherently been created to destroy both crowd-followers and outcasts (i.e. those who don't follow the crowd), then you're a Nazi ... who are jackasses as well. In conclusion then, that makes everyone a jackass. So it doesn't matter what you do or think or believe, you'll always be a jackass.
... ok, I've lost my rhythm. So the moral of these two paragraphs is ... I don't particularly enjoy blogging ... yet.
